A former materials depot on the Canal Saint-Martin run since 2004 as a concert hall, studios and residency space, with a terrace straight onto the water. Amplified music most nights, plus dance, talks and temporary shows.
Daytime it works as a canal-side café-bar; check the agenda for who's playing the back room that night.

Pont tournant de la Rue Dieu
A swing bridge that pivots horizontally to let canal boats through — built 1885 along with the canal itself. One of three swing bridges still operating along the Saint-Martin. Watch it open and you'll see a barrier descend on the road, then the entire span rotates.
The bridge swings open about every 30 min during boat hours (~9 am to 7 pm). The crossing itself takes 5 min; the operator climbs out of the small green cabin and physically operates the lever. Tourists rarely catch this — it's worth a 15 min wait if it's about to swing.

The smallest house in Paris
39 Rue du Château d'Eau (10th): one room wide, one window per floor, three floors total. Built around 1880 to fill a property dispute — the family on either side refused to sell, so the inheriting daughter built up vertically in the alley between them.
Walk along Rue du Château d'Eau between Place de la République and Boulevard de Strasbourg. The house is between nos. 37 and 41. It's a private home — don't ring the bell.
