The Paris that is true today

Every place on par.is is hand-picked, and every pick is re-checked continuously: a batch is verified each morning against the venue's own site, OpenStreetMap and a real browser render, and anything the machines cannot confirm is researched by hand before we decide. Nothing is quietly deleted. When we conclude a place has probably closed we say so, keep its page up, and show the evidence here.

Independent: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ofr_Librairie,_Galerie describes it operating, opened 2007, run by Alexandre and Marie Thumerelle; TripAdvisor d17718439 serves a live 2026 attraction page with no permanently-closed marker. Its url is instagram.com/ofrparis - unreadable from this host by fetch AND by headless render (both return title 'Instagram' behind a login wall), and the old ofrsystem.com now parks on HugeDomains, so Instagram remains the best url available.
