The Hôtel de Sully is a Louis XIII style hôtel particulier, or private mansion, located at 62 Rue Saint-Antoine in the Marais, 4th arrondissement, Paris, France. Built at the beginning of the 17th century, it is nowadays the seat of the Centre des monuments nationaux, the French national organization responsible for national heritage sites. It has been listed since 1862 as a monument historique by the Ministry of Culture.

Hôtel de Sully
1625 mansion at the corner of the rue Saint-Antoine. Pass through the inner courtyard — there's a hidden gate at the back that opens directly into Place des Vosges.
Enter at 62 Rue Saint-Antoine. The first courtyard is photographic; through the smaller arch is a second, smaller courtyard with the back gate. The bookshop in the entrance vestibule is run by the Centre des Monuments Nationaux and has the best architecture-history selection in the Marais.

Wall of Philippe Auguste, Rue des Jardins-Saint-Paul
The longest visible fragment of the 1190 city wall built by Philippe II — 60 m long, with two towers still standing, in the playground of a school. Marais was largely spared by Haussmann (who ran out of money), so wall fragments still survive in courtyards.
Enter Rue des Jardins-Saint-Paul from Rue Saint-Antoine. The fragment is on the south side, easily visible through the school playground railings. There's no plaque — this is just a thirty-second look at a 12th-century wall, accidentally preserved.

A formal walled garden hidden behind the Hôtel de Sully (4th), accessible through a small gate at the back of the courtyard. Connects directly to Place des Vosges via another gate at the far end — locals use this as a shortcut nobody else knows.
Walk into the Hôtel de Sully courtyard at 62 Rue Saint-Antoine. Pass through the inner courtyard and look for the small gate at the back left corner — easy to miss. Through it is the garden. The opposite gate puts you on Place des Vosges.
